Natalie's birthday this year was on Sunday so we decided to celebrate it on Saturday morning with a Birthday Breakfast party.
Our day started out rather interesting....we were all sleeping when we heard a loud bang and felt the house shaking...we thought...as you can tell if you look closely at the picture above our tree is now gone and the city street lamp is also gone! Wild. The road was sheer ice...literally an ice skating rink. A car came down the hill and wiped out the tree, took the street lamp with it and then was stopped horizontally by another tree. Craziness! Luckily he was not hurt...the same can't be said for his car. This was about an hour before Natalie's bday party. We discussed cancelling the party and decided to see what happened...well...this happened...look at the picture and you can see Palmer's van stuck..(The guys were putting chains on it to get it up)...three abandoned vehicles...Palmers, Gephardt's, Florentine's. Wilder's stayed in reverse and slid down, Blue's let Dominique off at the bottom to walk, Keelin slid on her feet from the top of the hill, Kalaya walked/slid....WILD! Needless to say it was a rather adventurous morning. It was so slick! I couldn't believe it! It didn't seem that cold or look that slick...but all it took was stepping on front sidewalk to realize that it was ICE! Super Fun breakfast party!
