Happy Birthday Emilee!
Wow 6 years already! I can't believe it!
Emilee celebrated her birthday by checking into the hospital at 7:30 am and then going to the Peds floor for her iv insert prior to her bone scan. Poor girl what a way to celebrate her birthday! However, after it was all done we asked Emilee where she would like to go for her birthday meal. Her immediate response was the Hospital Resturaunt...aka..cafeteria. So we took her downstairs to the cafeteria and had a very tasty lunch. Emilee's favorite food currently is chicken strips AND they have chicken strips and they were sooooo good according to Emilee! As she was eating her meal she said, "This has been the best birthday ever..." geesh....I almost chocked on my food...in my mind it had been one of the hardest days in my life, I told Matt I would rather go thru natural childbirth again then watch them try to get the iv in (it took three tries..and lots of sobbing).... Hmm....she proceeded to tell us how fun it was to get "My little pony's from the nurses and to go on the fun ride that was kind of like going to Disney World..the bed that she held very still on while the machine went in circles around her entire body. Hmmm...what a fantastic prospective. Not many kids at 6 can say that they have had 3 MRI's and a bone scan...her most expensive birthday yet, soooo glad it was her fav!! She is a super positive/optimistic little. It really helped me put my thoughts back in line..Thank you to all of you for the phone calls, cards, and gifts! We love you Miss Emi!!! It really was a wonderful day!!!! Happy Birthday Em!! You are one super loved little girl!
We made cupcakes and celebrated her birthday as a family tonight. Party on Friday with friends! Addie and Lily helped us frost cupcakes! Wow! She he is 6!
