Guess what's for dinner?
Matt had a fantastic day with Raj fishing as you can tell by the fish....aren't they huge?
Matt is excited to cook them up on the grill! He caught three...one was a bit smaller than the other two..they were approx 25-30 pounds. Yes, that is a lot of fish.
Matt cooked dinner tonight...sorry to announce that I am not a fish fan nor is Natalie..she made up her mind that she wasn't going to like it and gagged.. I swallowed, smiled and said .."yum" that was my mom example...but I prefer chicken! Matt and Savannah have a lot of fish to eat!
Oh my heavens, Matt! You seriously caught these fish? This is like those Alaska pictures....I am assuming that you didn't go to Alaska for the evening. How fun to see these HUGE fish! They are sure bigger than the ones we catch here at Trout and Berry Days in Paradise!
We don't like fish at our house BUT every year we still have to participate in the trout scramble and capture a fish...just for the picture...then we pawn our trout off to someone who is more like Matt and Savannah...yeah!
This year Christian decided to keep his fish. Later in the day he said that he wanted to put it in his room. We tried to tell him that it would stink really bad before morning. He was so bummed because he wanted to nail it to a board. We then figured out that he wanted it to be like those plaques that have the singing fish attached. It was hilarious!
Way to go, Matt. Seriously, these really are impressive! Thanks so much for sharing!
To be read daily... "If you have children who are grown and gone, in all likelihood you have occasionally felt pangs of loss and the recognition that you didn’t appreciate that time of life as much as you should have. Of course, there is no going back, but only forward. Rather than dwelling on the past, we should make the most of today, of the here and now, doing all we can to provide pleasant memories for the future. If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." -Thomas S. Monson
