It is officially now exactly two weeks since Emilee had her tonsils out and she is doing much better! Day 1 and 2 were fantastic. She actually even ate a hot dog on the 2nd day. From there she went downhill...............not fun for her or the rest of us that felt so sorry for her. However, thru the entire healing process she earned herself the name "SuperTrooper" because she was genuinely a true SuperTrooper! Her pain medication was NASTY...she dreaded taking it and really just the thought of it made her more miserable, Grandma ended up offering her $1 for every time that she took her medicine hoping this would motivate her and help us...the first couple of times this did not even help; however, she later reminded Grandma that she owed her "X" amount of money and she kept track right to the end! She was so excited to take her much earned money and we went straight to Hallmark for the "Sleeping Puppy" that she has been saving for forever. Emilee was so loved and thought of throughout this little procedure. For all of the cards, pictures, phone calls, webkins, flowers, ice cream, pudding, movies, visits, etc...thank you so much! It meant the world to her. She made the comment that "everyone loves me soooooooo much" and that means the world to us! So thank you!!! AND a HUGE thanks to grandma and grandpa for coming and staying that meant the WORLD! I am not sure who appreciated it the most....Tanner is still asking for you....Emilee is asking how many days until you come back, Savannah and Nat are just asking how many more days until we can go to Pocatello....they want to leave the second school is out...scratch that...they are okay missing the last day of school...they are so ready to see cousins, grandparents, go to Lagoon, play with friends, etc..........but we loved having you...Thanks for coming!!!!
