Where has the time gone? We are getting more organized by the day. It is so nice having grandma here. She has been helping me get clothes put away, boxes sorted, and most importantly spending time with the kids. They sure wish that grandpa was here too. I am sure that he wishes he was here too. He has a very quiet house now especially after a few weeks of no quiet. He is probably soaking in a clean hot tub with no grass in it, no little Tanner to turn of the tv, coming home and not tripping over toys and shoes, knowing right where the newspaper is as he walks in the door....and probably every minute wishing that there was all of the noise and chaos in the background and children clinging to his legs and telling him all at once about their day. Fortunately, we have free long distance and skype.
We are just loving the beauty here. It is so beautiful here. Kind of a mix of West Yellowstone-the trees and mountains, to the Cache Valley area feel and all of the luxuries of Boise all tied into one. The thing that I really love is that the traffic is great. It is such a mountainous area that it never really feels like you are in "downtown." I love having Costco (just wait my Poky friends you are going to love it!), Old Navy, Walmart, Target, ToysRus, Eddie Bauer, Gymboree etc....etc....as well as a great movie theater and wonderful restaurants at our finger tips. Plus we have the temple only about 15 minutes away!
So far the ward has been fabulous. Everyone is so very friendly and welcoming. The girls have been playing with new friends and doing great. They definitely miss all of their friends and cousins back home and grandparents, but I am so grateful for new friends that are so welcoming and inviting. Everyone has been great.
Matt and I are doing well too. Yes, I miss so many of you so much. I would just love a girls outing for lunch, a movie, or just to sit and chat in the backyard with my dear friends, but we are all adjusting. Matt is loving his job. (that's what he says anyways-I don't think he would dare tell me otherwise at this point.) No really, it is all an adjustment and is going to take time but it is a great company and he is enjoying himself and learning daily. So, yes I finally called the charter school and told them that we would not be coming back. Since school starts in a couple of weeks I decided it was time. That was a killer for me.....I just loved that school and calling them made it all seem final....you would think the drive here would have set the "final" feel into play, but I guess I was holding out... So I am reading Stephanie Meyers new book....I really shouldn't be with all that I have to do, but I am almost finished. It is so enthralling. I know many of you have or are reading it already. My only "personal" opinion is that this one is much more "grown-up" up then the others I will not let Savannah read this one for many years. The first one I will let her read in 2 0r 3 years maybe.....I know many 10-12 year old girls that are reading them and I just think these books are a bit to detailed for that young age. However, she is a great author and knows how to write.....my boxes that are still taped and unpack can 2nd that thought!
